I select Categories from the menu at the top of TV Listings. I select a category like Movies or Series but no matter what I pick I get "No results found".

Any ideas what could be causing this?

P.S. I am seeing a full schedule in the program guide.

The EPG source is not providing "genre" data (probably) ... TV Listings displays the "genres/categories" for a show when you display the description for that show ... Scroll down and the genres should be listed above the "Further Showings". Try several shows and if none show categories such as "Documentary" or "Move" or "Drama" the you need to get your data from elsewhere.

Schedules Direct are taking over the world of EPG data for TV on computers ... http://www.schedulesdirect.org/

Yep must be it, thanks! Shows description but no genres. I am using the free version of mcexml. Looking at the XML file, it is not in there either. I wonder if you need the paid version to get genre info.

But probably is just better to go with Schedules Direct.

Switched to Schedules Direct. It was really easy. Everything works great now. Thanks for the tip.
