Record all New shows on specific channel

If you enable extended logging in config.xml then run

nextpvr -recurring

You should see your select statement shown when it is run in the npvr.log.

just searched my drive for config.xml and don't see it.

I do however see my new item. Not sure it is right for advanced rule I put the full thing with parenthesis and all..

It's in C:\Users\Public\NPVR.

You can start a command prompt and run:

cd "c:\program files (x86)\npvr"
nextpvr.exe -recurring

ok so I did as you said. I edited the file and changed false to true for extended logging
then ran the command line and log is attached...

at 19:40 was when command line was ran

I do have a manual recording going. Not sure if it is due to when I set the rule I didn't set a time so it took now?? I'm going to go try to make another new one and name it vs default...

when I went in the recording and hit find all it didn't show any. but when I removed it and just left first_run="Y" then I got 4 (albeit all look the same but they are new I hope!)

so I took out the channel part and got it to work..
well on one channel.
so it seems.. will see from here..

Yes if I you are using one channel recording like that you need two rules. Looking at your log I forgot one thing, stop NextPVR and start it again to load the new config.xml

ahhh ok.. I was trying your other recommendation
and ( channel_oid = ### or channel_oid = ###)


all good.. I don't mind 2 rules. Ive gotta delete others to get the all channels going.

This has been working FLAWLESSLY!!!!

so now I'm curious how one can make a rule and set it for soccer? I just setup a new manual recording and did all new and ummm I got everything from golf, baseball, soccer, etc... whoops...

what field is used for name?

nevermind.. sheeze.. instead of me deleting my question ill just post this here.. works superb.. funny how even though the channel is listed.. the Y for first run brings it up on any channel... what I totally wanted!!!!!!
