NextPVR Comskip not working`

Hi All,

Comskip was working well and all of a sudden it stopped running along with the TV guide script I use to update the TV guide. I checked the EDL file and it is empty.

Anyone know if this has something to do with the major "Windows 10" update Microsoft put out last December? I had problems with Networking and mapping Network Drives in Nextpvr that I found out were a result of the update.

1/10/2017 was the "Microsoft Tuesday Update" for January. The updates did not cause any problems for me on my 3 machines. They were a little on the long side as far as time to install. YMMV.

I experienced strange behaviour since the latest Win7 KB3212646 update was installed. Playback on client was stuttering. Looking at the server Performance Monitor show that disk activity was 100% for extended period of time. Saving a recording with VideoReDo over the network become sluggish as Server up-time increased.

Reboot or power cycle the server seems to bring back network performance for about 24hours.

I will probably remove the KB3212646 update if this happens again.

Do you have any debugging statements in your scripts? Can you run comskip or your TV guide script from the command line successfully? I've had no problems with the windows update on my system.

JavaWiz, thanks for your reply. Comskip works if I drag a video ts file onto it. Not sure if there is an issue when it runs during a live recording. The TV Guide script runs from within NextPVR if I force it using the UPDATE EPG button.

Its puzzling one day everything works then nothing.

stustunz, I'm using Windows Defender, not by choice if I had it my way I'd run no anti virus, I did create exceptions for the NPVR, Comsip & EPG directories and the associated exe files in Defender settings

Thanks for all the replies. Found the issue with Comskip, a corrupt ini file. I created a new one and it is working again.
