Manually Changing Audio PID / Channel Copy

Hello,

I am having trouble finding where I would enter APIDs manually.

I would like to copy multiple instances of a specific channels using different APIDs. I did export the channel XML file, but I don't see a tag for changing the APID in it.

It doesn't store the pids for channels. It dynamically looks them up each time in the stream each time you watch a channel/recording.

Can I manually assign an audio pid from the channel list? They are hidden.

No, you can't manually specify the PIDs. It dynamically finds them.

If you want to supply a short sample .ts recording, so I can see what the problem is. There should be any hidden audio PIDs.

I saw in another thread a video channel scan in that had all these tags.

Can I manually input all these for any station? I might just scan in a video station on the same transponder and then change all the PIDs to match the radio stations. Once I get time I will attempt this and let you know if it is a success.

When I used to get clear QAM radio channels, there could be 50 audio PIDs on one channel and NextPVR let me create individual channels for them, perhaps because of the video PID sub needs to do some special handling to treat these as radio.

That's interesting. When I scanned this TP in, it just scanned the one instance (which is what any DVB software or set-top box will do) manual APID entry is required for this particular satellite since the alternate APIDs are hidden.

I had to uninstall anyway since nextpvr was preventing my other dvb software from loading (not sure why - stopping recording service didn't correct the problem though) . Anyway, I will test this on another partition - likely not for awhile. If I could get all the radio working with Next, I would switch for good.
