I am thinking of purchasing a IR receiver/controler for my PC. I'm new to this so I dont really know what to get or where to get it from. Do I need Girder also for GBPVR or do I just need to order the USBIRT unit. Also what is the additional 56Mhz for on the USBIRT. Are there any good shops in the US to get it from?

Thanks Capone, what does the 56khz ir sensor do? I understand thats optional?

I don't have one, but if I do (on the fence w/ that or harmony), it will be from them.

I did ask about that, and it's something internaitonal I think. Not an optional "I should get that" kind of thing.

I got 56Hkz ir version, just so I could be sure it would definitly work with all my hardware. Without this, you may find the occasion peice of hardware which is not compatible.
