Kodi 17 and comskip

been ages since I used kodi and nextpvr together. but does the kodi nextpvr pvr addon allow you to use comskip files?

I tried and nothing seems to happen kodis end with them, no auto skip or highlighting on the timeline where they are etc.

I tried playing the recordings via the pvr addon and also from a smb folder directly. no joy.

if they do work, is there something extra you have to do?

does not work with the npvr addon unfortunately. i believe it can be made to work when using x-newa or browsing for the files.

It's basically because Kodi won't request comskip info for files sourced over http.

i saw argus tv does it somehow, i assume like mediaportal where it plays over a smb share?
