On this one;
How to remove unwanted screens in the interface like under recordings, the conflicts screen and/or the menu bar at the top of the screen.

I take it this can't be done in the skin? I skimmed through most of the files, a lot looks like CSS, but I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be the way to do that, if it were possible?
