Live tv no longer working and the nextpvr icon going red

Hello guys if had a problem that's been plaguing me since thanksgiving of last year and for the life of me i cant figure it out. so far iv tried everything i can think of, if even gone as far as completely removing nextpvr and reloading it, same with the cable card. at this point im not sure if its software or hardware. i did swap the tv tuner card for my spare and got the same result, i don't have a spare for the cable card it self and i suspect this could be the issue.

what happened was, i was watching the thanksgiving parade when the image and sound froze in kodi, then i got (tuner no longer available), I use it in windows and android. i do not use nextpvrs viewer but i did try it with no success.
The nextpvr icon on my host server turns red when i tune to a channel. someone please help me find a rime or reason for this issue before I smash it with an axe.

If you attempt to record a channel in NextPVR, does a file get created, and is it playable (either in NextPVR or external player)? This is the best test for checking a tuner is functioning, taking extra complications around live tv and kodi out of the mix.

Maybe your cable company has moved your channels to copy protected. Does your device still function in any other software?

A file will get created sometimes but its has no audio or video and same when i try live tv in Nextpvr, ceton diag tools reports the channels are tuning a are clear. I'll have to setup and load mce and check

I also just ordered a new cable card to rule that out

If you want to supply one of those files, I'll check what is wrong with them. To supply a file, put it on one drive or dropbox, or somewhere like that, and let me know the download link.

ok, im going to pm you the link for two files. the labled leathal weapon was recorded just after the problem occurred and the one labeled the flash is was resent

I've looked at the files with a few tools, and it's valid transport stream data, but the audio/video PES data it contains is all garbage. It's like the Ceton isn't managing to decrypt it or something, though it's not marked as encrypted.

so my suspicion may be correct in assuming the comcast cable card maybe fubar. like i said i tried a spare ceton card and got the same resalt.
