downloaded media art automatic cleanup

While doing a backup this morning, I noticed that there were a bunch (a little over 17K worth, almost 3 gbytes) of media artwork files (jpg's & xml) in the /user/public/npvr/media/shows folder - from the dates, several years worth. I did manually clean the folder, but is there a way that aged artwork can be purged after some "fixed" period of time without operator intervention?

There is nothing easy I can do on this front - there is no way for me to easily tell what artwork the user might need in future and which isn't required.

It was intended to be a semi-permanent cache of any artwork you'd viewed, so that the artwork is there are again in the future if you ever view that content again. If the files are bothering you, you can delete the files from this directory any time you want.
