I"ve been using NextPVR and Schedules Direct for years now and have had no problems and loved the simplicity. Lately with the newest version of NextPVR when I try to update the EPG all I see is a blank status bar so it is very hard for me to tell if the EPG is updating when I attempt to do it manually. In previous versions I could see the guide updating on a 10 channel basis which was very helpful.

Now when I try to update it feels as if the schedule does not update. I usually have it update the schedule for next 14 days. So if I updated the EPG tonight it should pull in the schedule from schedules direct until Oct. 2nd Instead I only see my schedule going out until Sept 26th.

I have attached my log file for you to look at.

Odd. I'm not sure why you'd be getting any different behaviour in there - that stuff hasn't changed in a very long time.

I just double checked and I'm still get the updating status messages when pulling in the EPG from Schedules Direct.

Is it the same after a reboot?

It's worth noting, that you get a different number of days depending whether you manually hit the 'update epg' button, or let it happen automatically overnight. I'm pretty sure this will be what you're noticing. Look at these settings in your config.xml:

I went in to the config.xml in the C:\Users\Public\NPVR path and updated my to <SchedulesDirectDays>21</SchedulesDirectDays>
<SchedulesDirectDaysOvernight>28</SchedulesDirectDaysOvernight>

This solved my schedule length issue. Thank you for reminding me.

As for the Blank 'Status Bar' issue I am seeing. Basically I believe it is still updating in the 10 channel increments as it always has because I saw some wording when I extended my schedule out sayin it could not retrieve the channel data for a date time frame. I think the status box for the update some how shrunk. I couldn't find a way to get the mouse on it to drag it bigger so I guess I'll have to deal with it.

But at least I am now getting a schedule that is further out.
