I've been struggling with channel logos since rescanning for channels due to spectrum repacking. With your help, I've made progress, but right now, my problem is that Kodi is not getting channel logos for two channels (out of 34) from NPVR. All of the rest of the logos make it to Kodi and are displayed properly there. Moreover, all guide data is correctly reflected in Kodi.
Within NPVR, all logos (including the ones missing from Kodi) and program information show up correctly in the channel guide. Here is some more detail.
I'm running NPVR and Kodi on the same Windows 10 desktop PC.
For NPVR, I maintain a folder of channel logo icon files in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Channels. The names I've given to these files correspond to the "Name" reported in NPVR at Settings>Channels.
For Kodi, these icons eventually get deposited in C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data\pvr.nextpvr.
After a scan for channels in NPVR, I manually assign logos to each channel by appropriately naming the files in the ...\Media\Channels folder. The I delete all channel logo files from the ...\pvr.nextpvr folder to force a refresh when I start Kodi. The only file remaining in this folder after the deletion is the "settings" file.
Upon starting Kodi, all logos show up correctly in the Channels and Guide displays except two. On checking the ...\pvr.nextpvr folder, I can see that the logos for these channels are not there. They did not "transfer" from NPVR like all the other channel logos did.
I went back to NPVR and ensured that these channel logo icon files were assigned the correct names. One of the missing channels had the name KTXD-DT on the NPVR Settings>Channels screen. When I highlighted that channel and selected details, I noted that the name given in the general section was KTXDDT (without the hyphen) and the "mapping" given in the EPG source section was 47.1-KTXDDT. Since NPVR seemed to be associating two names to this channel, I put it's logo into the ...\Media\Channels directory twice -- once with each name. Then I deleted all the logos from ...\pvr\nextpvr and started Kodi again. The logo in question did not show up, and was not present in ...\pvr.nextpvr.
The second missing channel logo did not have conflicting names in Settings>Guide and Details, so I couldn't think of anything else to do.
I've zipped and attached logfiles.
Thanks very much for any help, or please advise if I need to take this to the Kodi forum. (Or, perhaps, to just give up! )
