If that URL doesn't work try http://my.hdhomerun.com/ and on the page your device should be listed. Click on the channels and what do you see for ESPN etc.

I normally use the HDHR user interface .. http://my.hdhomerun.com/ which gives me all the hdhome run prime info .. From that menu I can find anything .. and is what I use to check the "tuner status" which shows me data on the tuner activity. (like the channel #, freq. quality, etc.) Does having the device IP help on your end?

One tuner shows the correct data (with the HDHomerun viewer app) and does play, and the other tuner shows what's happening when I try to play or record ESPN in NextPvr .. Incorrect data there so it just gives me blank screen.

Hooray ... We have ESPN and ESPN2 .. Thanks Sub .. I took your advice and tried deleting all the channels and then re-scanned. Everything is back and this time those two channels are now working okay. I don't know why that worked ... All I know is that my head hurts after this marathon of troubleshooting ended <grin> I just finished the new scan about 5 minutes before a full prime time recording session (about 10 shows) was scheduled to start. Can't thank everyone here enough.

I think it came down to when you originally scanned in the channels your device was unable to provide a lineup.xml (like maybe the HDHR hadn't done it's own scan or something), and this caused it to do the much slower manual scan, which ties channels to frequencies and program identifier. Somewhere along the way, either the frequency or program identifier changed and those channels stopped working. Now that you've rescanned, it's likely used the lineup.xml, and it's instead tuning by channel number (rather than frequency + program identifier), so should be safe from these types of changes in future. |
