Failed recordings

I've been having issues with recordings lately. 9 out of 10 time it records fine but then it fails randomly. I found in the log where it says failed to start Failed to start recording on allocated device (24730:E:\Recorded TV\...\...ts): 'Device failed to start' but then it will record the next show perfectly fine.

I'm using Kodi as my front end and have Windows 10 and 2+ TB of space on my hard drive.

I can't figure out what makes it fail.

It looks like a driver issue. If it is a USB device I'd check to make sure that there are no sleep settings that might close USB.
