I don't know how sub's import/export works sorry, but given how many people use it I don't think it would be a space issue.

It turned out to be a permissions issue. I did a chmod 777 on all directories in the path to the .ts files and the recordings imported ok.

For the moment, I have decided to stay with Win7 and NextPVR V4 - due to the following, which I do not know how to resolve:

1. After scan, channel numbers were wrong. ITV should be channel 3, but in V5 BBC News was channel 3 - lots of other 'errors' too.
2. Lipsync issues using KODI as the front end. The lip sync was out by about 5 seconds. Lipsync is perfect on my WIN7 / V4 installation

I WILL try again in the future as I would very much like to get away from Windows for my NextPVR installation.
Thanks for all the help.

Sub has explained that the BBC naming issue exists in v4 too, it is a timing issue that is hit or miss in both versions. People generally forge things like this though, and it is not indicative of any issue in v5

Kodi on Linux vs Kodi on Windows will certainly have different characteristics but given that most of the Kodi developers that work on the video player aspect use Linux I suspect the issue is configuration on the same h/w the stream from NextPVR will be the same.

This wont be anything to do with the version of NextPVR you're using. All versions of NextPVR are just passing the original stream to Kodi, and it's taking care of the playback. ie, if you're having a lip sync issue, it'll be some thing kodi is having problems with.

Martin / sub,
Thanks for the replies. I will have another go sometime soon, as I do want to ditch M$ Windows and go to Li ux.
