Hi Guys,

Today I tried to delete all the files in my TV Buffer, and it did not let me delete one file because it says it is open in NextPVR.
However, there is no current open session with Nextpvr as also shown in the screenshot (check the dates).
Any ideas why this is happening?

Attached also the logs.

You would need to stop the server to manually delete them are left over after Kodi playback and are locked by the server process not NextPVR.

2020-01-06 11:32:10.297 [DEBUG][176] Unable to delete live file: C:\TV Buffer\live-ERT2-0.ts (The process cannot access the file 'C:\TV Buffer\live-ERT2-0.ts' because it is being used by another process.)

For as many versions of NextPVR as I can remember there have been occasional times where stray files get left over like this playing from remote clients. In v5 I continue to clean this out in my server startup script.

Many thanks Martin for your suggestion. I also thought too. I will create a startup task to get this directory cleaned upon system startup as per your suggestion.

Are you able to reproduce at will? What type of tuner etc are you using? (I'm on my phone, so can't check your zip)

Hi Sub, thanks for your reply.
I haven't seen this frequently and I had been trying to make my tv box on which I am running nextpvr not freeze every now and then (and I made it, eventually, I just had to change the processor capabilities in windows not to allow deep Sleep states), so I have not tried to reproduce it.
Of course it is a minor problem, as I can easily recover from it, and as Martin suggested I wrote a script to clean up every time windows restarts, but I thought you would like to know.
If it happens again, I'll let you know.
