I've got GB-PVR working just fine. The USB-UIRT works great for changing channels too. I'm just wondering if there's a way to train the USB-UIRT with the "Satellite Power On" signal and get it to send that before it tries to start a recording. I've had a couple of recordings lost becuase if my power goes out, the satellite box doesn't automatically power on when the power returns.

I've got my PVR PC set to always start itself up when the power returns, so that part is fine.

Any suggestions?

Not directly using GB-PVR. If really need this feature then you could use third party software like Girder to provide this.

I don't know about USB-UIRT, but I am using RedRat3 (a USB IR controller), and what I have done is setup a batch file to send - power on, backup, backup, backup, channel, backup - to ensure its powered on, and is out of any system menus. Then using the external exe changer, I can call the batch file with channel number. If USB-UIRT has the ability to send individual commands via a command line, then maybe this could work for you too.

I've heard about Girder, but I haven't dug into it yet. I'll look into it and report back.
