Hi - when setting up NextPVR 5, should I be able to browse to the live TV buffer and Recordings directories? I can only browse to C: drive directories - other drives do not show up. Do I need to manually enter non C: drive locations? The reason I ask is that my first install had problems, and I had manually entered the locations, the buffer directory being on a local ramdrive, and the Recordings directory being on drive D:
Cheers,
Steve

Did you keep click on the double dots [..] until you got to the root level? If so I will assume you are running as as service and that your ram drive driver doesn't map D for all users. Consider running the service as a user.

Thanks - running the service as a user sorted it ;-)

After a reboot Live TV failed with 'Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)'. I tried changing the ramdrive from a Direct-IO disk to a SCSI disk but it made no difference. Changing the buffer folder to a non-ramdrive folder fixed it.

The reboot likely started the server before your ram disk was created you'd likely need a pause. The MTBF for disk writes shouldn't be an issue and even if it is an SSD I wouldn't be worried using a "real" disk.
