I think somewhere in the setting page a button that restarts NextPVR server would be very handy. Along with that maybe a button or option that purges the logs as well?

Would it not be better to provide a problem post with logs so that sub can fix any problems that lead to a requirement for the restart in the first place?

Because there are probably lots of things that can go wrong that are no fault of NPVR but which need the service to be restarted? It is just a feature suggestion.

I guess a PC server restart could fix some issues but would you really want a forced restart with open files remotely?

Think there is some confusion between server restart which obviously shouldn't be done via the web interface and a service restart that just restarts the NextPVR Service.

Hopefully sub can consider it.

I'm confused what you're suggesting now. There is only one server that can be restarted (whether it's run from the command line or a service or linux shell script)

I'm confused what you're suggesting now. Are you saying restart the server, but not restart the service? They're one in the same (pretty much).

Just to restart the NextPVR Service remotely, not to restart the host machine.
