Although as I mentioned, I did delete what was in SD username and password as I didn't want/need it to be imported, I was just testing how it worked.
Ah right. So it looks like its currently not possibly to fully remove SD by blanking the password in the web app. I've fixed this for the next build.

Since writing this, the stream in Kodi paused twice, but then it will be ok for a few minutes, whereas there aren't any pauses on the app.
It isn't transcoding it is being copied but it is being converted to an m3u8 file for the web app.   If you have buffering in Kodi with xteve removed then it probably just is a crappy stream.

That's why I'm wondering if it was a resource issue, as it was happening on every IPTV channel I tried, but since rebooting, yes there have been a couple of pauses, but it has been much much better.

I'll see if it makes any difference when I set up the other box as a NAS and move NPVR over to it.

not sure it addresses the issue in this thread specifically given you see it in nextpvr client also, however, i have suffered with stuttering on a bunch of IPTV channels. i thought for months they were simply bad streams and there was nothing i could do about it, disappointing as they are US movie channels, that i likely would watch often if stable. i have around 60 groups from my IPTV provider and all worked great from the get go apart from that one group. Channels in that group would not buffer (or at least kodi would not show the 'buffering' banner), but they would regularly freeze for a second and also appear to drop frames to the point i could not to stand watch them. Adding the below to Kodi advanced settings fixed them and they are now super smooth.

<cache>
<buffermode>4</buffermode>
<memorysize>313524224</memorysize>
<readfactor>10</readfactor>
</cache>

Note the memory size is based on my 2gb Ram CoreELEC box, your system likely will have a different optimal value. when changing this though consider that what value you set for memory size, kodi will want 3x that available for use.

 fyi - i just updated the 'buffer mode' setting - inadvertently took that  form a box running simple IPTV client, for my nextpvr boxes that didn't work, and i had to set buffer mode to 4 (not 2)

Unfortunately it didn't help, using 4 actually made it quite a lot worse. It's running on an i5 with 8gb ram, so tried increasing the memorysize to see if it helped.

Appreciate the effort though, cheers :-)
