Other programs such as the Windows explorer or even CMD.EXE lag majorly, several seconds behind what I type something. Even the GUI in device manager doesn't repaint correctly. Context menus in all kinds of apps are particularly problematic. Once this behavior sets in, if I restart NextPVR, the context menu won't repaint - just the outline.
How is the CPU usage looking at the time?
As Graham mentioned, it might be worth checking for updated Video Drivers.
CPU usage looked normal at the time this was happening, under 5%.
I have been using the latest nVidia drivers for my GTX 1050 Ti under Win10, version 451.48, from https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/161303/ .
And as mentioned, I'm running the latest Windows updated, version 2004 .
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows...rsion-2004
It's certainly possible that there is a regression in the video drivers, or some issue in the latest Windows 10 build.
I have done everything I could possibly think of, from restoring the OS from a backup, to resetting all BIOS settings to "optimal defaults".
I even pulled one of the A/V / tuner cards I had, a very old Hauppauge HVR-1800 .
I have easily spent 30+ hours of my time since Saturday trying to get NextPVR 5 to run stable on my system, and I have failed, unfortunately.
To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.
At this time, as I mentioned in the post immediately prior to this one, I have reverted to NextPVR 4 . Other than the issue with tuning to an offline channel, I don't have any problem with it. I really wish I could use NextPVR 5.
But it appears it isn't meant to be.
