force the use of an updated XMLTV file

Is there a way to have version v5 of NextPVR utilize my updated XMLTV file for the EPG without having to run an updateepg.bat file?
My automated batch file that updates the XMLTV file takes about one hour to run.  I've manually updated my XMLTV file, I just want NextPVR to import its data.
I've tried the nextpvr.exe -updateepg switch without any luck.
If I go to the NextPVR web app, About, Update EPG, it just wants to run the batch file again.
I've googled this over and over but just keep finding articles about running the batch file.

Take the update part out of the UpdateEpg script and create a task to download the file.

I don't think there is an option to not run the script and use an existing xmltv file.

True ... for the avoidance of doubt ... NextPVR V5 will read an XMLTV file with name "X" if the file with name "X" is set as the EPG source for one or more channels.

A batch (or script) file can create an XMLTV file with name "X" and then use a nscripthelper.dll command to cause NextPVR to read the data in file "X".

The updateepg.bat would not be requiried in this scenario.  The only way to run an EPG update without running updateepg.bat is to not have an updateepg.bat.

Thanks everyone. I just removed the updateepg.bat file from the scripts folder for my testing purposes and clicked on Update EPG. Works fine.
