All my recordings that were happening during the time change Sunday morning are all messed.  I'm not sure it the cause lies with the EPG or with how NextPVR handles it but I did notice that all day yesterday the little bar in the web app that shows the current time vertical on the guide was incorrect by the old time.  essay writer

It appears that I had a recording start at 1;59AM on TCM and it somehow padded the program by almost an hour and then the next two movies were just recorded after that recording stopped so the first one has all the first movie and part of the second, the second has part of the second and part of the third, and the third has the ending of the third.  Now I should be able to edit these back together but it is a pain.

I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem but I felt I should report it so you can determine the cause to see if it can be avoided in March.

Thanks

NextPVR relies on the content of the EPG data to know when it should schedule the start and end of recordings ... It is most likely that the EPG data contained muddled show start and end times.

NextPVR relies on the computer clock to know the current time ... NextPVR starts and stops recordings at the time specified in the EPG using the times from the computer clock.

If the recordings are wrong ... It is likely because the EPG data or the computer clock (or both) are mis-handling the time change.

Logs are often useful ... https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/get-help ... But the logs for Sunday morning may have been deleted by now.

If your BIOS and O/S adjust the time correctly, things should be fine as EPG based recordings are UTC based which doesn't care about the timezone. However the web app is not timezone aware, in fact I don't know any client GUI that handles this elegantly. It will also look different again on Sunday but on Monday it will be back to normally.

Again recording should be fine, although perhaps some user created advanced rules might be impacted.

Isn't the daylight savings change in the US on the 14th March? This reads like it's already happened where you are.

There has been no time change yet where I'm at, yet the past recordings I have tried in the past week were an hour off.

What's your EPG source? Do they show at the correct times in the TV Guide?

Yes, they showed correct times, according to tvguide.com. However, something else went wrong today and I had to reinstall npvr and set up everything from scratch. I'll have to schedule something and see if it records at the right time now. I'll see how it looks tomorrow.
