See attached image

So dvbzap only captures actual data for 1) video 2) first audio track (by default?) which is Danish, nothing more, no additional languages or any subtitles. I suspect this is because "dvb_set_pesfilter" in dvbzap output, only one video and one audio track is captured, for filters VIDEO_PID and AUDIO_PID in tuning details is used.

Ok that's as far as I can take this we don't have DVB here. I did have a look at the Windows file and has too many errors to play. It has teletext too which is quite different from subtitles, is that what you are looking for?

No I'm not interested in teletex but actual DVB subtitles. Windows recording is from virtual machine, for some reason Hauppauge dualHD does not work very well there (constant artifacts etc.), that's why I'm going Linux.

I suspect that my problem is related to these "extra" PIDs in tuning details for problematic channels, I believe NextPVR implementation does not handle these properly for some reason but of course I have no clue of your implementation. I would not like to go and see if TVHeadend has same problem since I really like NextPVR simplicity and quality.

So I did quick test with Ubuntu VM/TVHeadend/Kodi and this subtitle problem does not exist there

Here is an updated x64 version of DeviceHostLinux if you want to give it a go.

Thanks, I can confirm this fixes the issue for at least for two problematic channels I was aware of
