Hi all,

I use NextPVR in conjunction with MCEBuddy to automatically transcode and edit out commercials from my ota recordings.  It’s set up and and is working well.

There’s only one quality of life issue with my current setup.

Right now, NextPVR records the show, mcebuddy watches the recording folder and during the transcoding hours, it will grab the recording, transcoded it to h264 and drops the transcoded file in another watch folder where Emby’s auto-organize plugin moves it into the library.

Once the episode has been transcoded, it deletes the original recording.

The problem at the moment is that NextPVR keeps a stub entry of the original recording, which it cannot play back because it’s been transcoded.  At the moment my only option is to manually delete these stub entries.

Is there a way for NextPVR to check recording stubs against the files, and automatically remove recording entries from its database of the file is no longer there?

Check here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/adv...config.xml It should already do this but it is not immediate and I don't know when the delete task is run.

Where do you see these recordings?

As per that link, what is <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> set to in your database?

Also, are you viewing the recording list in nextpvr.exe or the web ui?

I've been having this same issue. It went back to working for awhile, then a couple weeks ago stopped deleting missing recordings (I watch mine through a Kodi library integration and then delete them from Kodi). I checked, and my config.xml file has AutoRemoveMissingRecordings set to true (lower case - the docs show upper, but all the other config booleans are in lower case). I only use the WebUI for interacting with NextPVR.

I just figured it was something screwy with my setup (and it might yet be given that I'm running Docker on Windows 10). In my case I wonder if NextPVR is going to check on deletes and thinks the drive has been disconnected (since the recordings folder is mapped by Docker, and Docker on Windows is apparently notorious for not doing native folder mapping well). I'm hoping to finally move my NextPVR setup to a NAS with Docker and then see if the problem persists.
