Hello everyone,
Does anyone know what Bloatware/settings  could be removed from windows to make win 10 more lean and still allow NextPVR operate without issue?

Thank you for your time.

I would say anything that is traditionally labelled "bloatware" can be removed.

Martin.

What is the "issue" that you have with NextPVR that leads you to conclude that bloatware is the cause of the problem ?

Unless you have a low-powered PC, the standard windows install should work without issue.

I do not have an issue with it. Was just asking the question if anyone knew of such settings and programs that could be eliminated from a standard win install. Could NextPVR run on windows without all of windows updates?

google for windows 10 non-essential services
services like print spooler, WIA, fax, bluetooth, windows insider service etc can be safely disabled which will free up a little RAM.
You can disable windows indexing / search as long as you don't mind windows taking a while to locate files when you search for them.
None of this is "bloatware". they're services which are necessary for some folks and not for others. Something that might reasonably be classified as bloatware is Cortana so you might want to look up how to disable that.

I'm sure NextPVR should run just fine without windows updates assuming you don't run into a bug in any of the out of the box drivers. Conversely, I've not had any problems with windows updates either. Generally bug fixes are a good thing...

I exclude media file types .ts, .mp3, .flac, .mkv from my anti-virus configuration so that it doesn't burn up cycles scanning my recordings and other media.
I run a postprocessing.bat file to defragment a recording after it has completed and I run a defragmenter every month to defragment free space only on my recording drive to avoid recordings being excessively fragmented.

You could also try Win10/11 Lite Editions to cut down even more and increasing stability on slower CPU and low memory systems.
