Hauppauge web site says it has h/w h264 encoding which is still possible with usb video.  The cheap grabbers use mjpeg. I'd be interested in seeing the formats that command line I posted gives.

Well that's true - some of these styles of devices can use H264 for their video frames. It's not really the same sort of device though, and not capable of producing an H.264 transport stream like the rest of the HDPVR family, so original answer stands.

thank you for all of your help but I ended up going back to my colossus 2 cards see below



To anyone who is having pcie related bsod issues on an hp ml30 gen 10 the fix is in the latest bios. Just turn on biforcate port 1 in the bios and plug your gpu into port 1. this helped me and should help you too.
