enable catch-up streaming

First of all: NextPVR is a great project.
Was able to install and use very fast an easy with Kodi frontend!
So thanks to all devs!!!

Many IPTV vendors are enabling an online archives.
The duration of the archive can be different (3-14 days), but it gives you an ability to see any program withing enabled achrive period of time back.
Kodi simple IPTV PVR is able to stream any program from archive based on EPG data.
Is it possible to add such capbility to NextPVR?

I've searched through forum and web if it is possible to configure nextPVR to support it, but couldnt find anything, so it probably a new feature request .

No, it is not possible, but VOD is supported. Sub (the only dev BTW) often will not comment on the wishlst items but he does note them. I think that is a good policy since then the questions start like when do you think it will be ready, what is the priority etc.

Personally I find the archive feature doesn't work well with the PVR metaphor since it would entail storing old guide data. Why not ask your provider to simply convert the old EPG list to VOD?

While technically possible to implement timeshifting/playing/recording catchup without past EPG, it's definitely much more useful with it. IPTV Simple has good documentation on this: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.iptvsimple#catchup
