I'm sure Martin will jump on this right away and get me going.........

I'm trying to set up a UNC recording path where there is a space in the folder name.
i.e. "TV Recordings"

I have tried many different ways/characters and can't find the right combo.
I could just rename the directory to "Recordings", but I would like to know how to do this.
Thanx.

Would it be any different then any folder or a filename with a space?

"\\ip\TV Recordings"

That worked from me from the command line, in config.xml (v5) don't add anything. If you are running from a NAS or linux share all bets are off on the use of space.

2021-10-19 14:34:46.811 [DEBUG][13] Started recording (1639:2:\\172.16.3.3\TV Recordings\The Talk\Season 12\The Talk.S12E27.ts)
2021-10-19 14:34:47.066 [DEBUG][13] Starting: C:\Users\Public\NPVR-Data\scripts\ParallelProcessing.bat "\\172.16.3.3\TV Recordings\The Talk\Season 12\The Talk.S12E27.ts" 6.1 1639 49 "The Talk"

I'm trying to write to a NAS.
I'm getting "illegal characters in path".
I guess I'll just rename the directory.
Thanx.

Why do you need to rename a directory, just change the share name to not include a space, spaces should be allowed in the file system.

I don't understand your response.
If I change my directory name from "TV(space)Recordings" to "TV(underscore)Recordings" it works OK.

There are three considerations the share name, the folder names under the source, and share source direcory. Folder/directory have to be able to include spaces or NextPVR recordings would fail. How your NAS software deals with the other issues is not worth any more time discussing, I was suggesting the TV_Recordings sharename should be able to point to a physical "TV Recordings" directory.
