installation problem with V5 on Win10

Trying to install PNVR 5 on WIn10. It halts with message Cannot connect to Local Host.
Starting NVPR Client results in a box with System.ArgumentException followed by many lines of code. I cannot copy this box. It seems that the the server has not been generated? I have tried with Edge and Firefox with the same result in both case.
Version 4 , installed under Win7 continued to work with the upgrade to Win10. This was deleted before I tried to load version 5

There are two applications NextPVR.exe and the server. There is no point in starting NextPVR.exe until the server is running.

Perhaps you simply deleted v4 without uninstalling. Go to to Windows service and look for two services

NextPVR Service (this is V5 and should show as running

NPVR Recording Service (this is V4 and hopefully it will not be there)

If NextPVR Service is there you should try and start it via a right click

If the NextPVR Service is not there, if you have a C:\Temp look for a file called install.txt and zip it up and attach it to a post. If you don't create that folder and run the installer again.

Thank you Martin for your prompt reply. NextPNVR Service is showing as running. I could not find the recording Service file. I have attached the install.zip file - the very last section is the error message I got when trying to start NVPR.exe - the Installer froze at 'Starting NPVR'.
