Hi all,

Running NPVR on an Intel NUC with a HDHR Quatro, win 10, NPVR windows client to view recordings.

Had to do a fresh set up of the HDHR on Saturday due to UK Freeview changes (plus I updated the HDHR firmware) and since then I have been experiencing early termination of recordings.  The client shows no errors and the correct start and end times but the files themselves are short.  The files play correctly.

For example, I have just recorded two programs that were scheduled for 13:00.  They both started OK but failed with a length of 6:58 so at around 13:03 as I have 4 minute pre-pad set.  The programs show in Ready Recordings as 12:56-13:34 and 12:56-13:49 and no errors.  The HDHR log for the period shows:
20220131-12:56:06 Tuner: tuner0 tuning 1 BBC ONE W Mid (t8dvbt:514MHz-4165)
20220131-12:56:06 Tuner: tuner0 streaming http to 192.168.1.202:49798
20220131-12:56:06 Tuner: tuner1 tuning 2 BBC TWO (t8dvbt:514MHz-4287)
20220131-12:56:07 Tuner: tuner1 streaming http to 192.168.1.202:49799
20220131-13:18:42 Tuner: tuner0 http stream ended (remote closed)
20220131-13:18:42 Tuner: tuner1 http stream ended (remote closed)

I do not have sufficient knowledge to figure out if the error is with the HDHR, the network, the PC or NPVR (or anything else) so would appreciate any help/advice that can be offered and if I have omitted any information that might be needed, my apologies.

NPVR logs attached.

Thanks,
Stanno

If you rescanned did you scan one, empty the others and then copy when prompted?

The logs like fine. If you connect to your HDHR http://192.168.1.200/system.html and look and the log do you see any errors? You can save the log and zip it and attach it if you want.

No errors in the HDHR log, the only lines at the time of my recordings were those in my initial post.

Ok I thought there might be more than you posted but to me it looks like you had a network error since NextPVR thinks those streams are open. Maybe check you Windows system logs from errors or network related logs.

It doesn't look it is related to the rescan.

Quick update: Following Martin's comments that it was possibly a network issue, I wondered if it was hardware related. I have a TP-Link Mesh set up with two extenders and the HDHR ia cabled to one of the extenders. Thinking it might be a faulty port, I swapped the extenders over and have now had five error-free recordings.

Coincidence perhaps? I will post again if the errors restart.
