VideoReDo video software may not survive much longer.
It's website is offline - http://videoredo.com/
Current installs can't check for updates.
New software installs can't be activated.

Still working if already install, like mine.

It's forum is still working at https://videoredo.net/msgBoard/index.php
You can see posts about the current issues there.

I see that VRD has been used by user of this forum in the pass.
Just thought users of this forum may like to known about this.

And if anyone know of a good replacement software, please tell me.

The owner of company had makes VideoReDo is ill
And is the only person that can access the domain that does the activation of the software.

Good news, The senior developer has setup a manual activation page and the upgrade wizard on their forum domain.
So the software lives a while longer.

I rarely use it anymore but it does a great job. Still have a very old version that works great.
I've found MCEBuddy to do all I need. Very cheap and certainly not as powerful as VideoReDo but just in case VRD dies, you might give MCEBuddy a shot.

I started using MCEBuddy1.1 back in 2012 to 2015,
I like the conversion of WTV files, but I didn't how the ad's were removed.
(leaving parts of the ad's behind)

So in 2015 I found VideoReDo with auto detecting and manual adjustment of ad's removal
One program could do both the WTV & removal to my liking.

The WTV file is no longer a issue, as I not using Windows media center anymore.
But I really like the manual adjustment of ad's removal

Thanks Paul for the post, I will give MCEBuddy another try.
