I have 3 HomeRun cable card boxes, each has 3 channels, I use 2 computers running NextPVR v6. If one computer picks up one of the channels on one of the HomeRun units, the other computer is blocked
from being able to pick up one of the other 2 unused channels on that HomeRun box.

I discussed this problem with HomeRun and their final response was; ..."Selecting a particular tuner to use is a function of the NextPVR backend. That is something you'll have to contact NextPVR about."

You also discussed it us and we gave you a solution to have just one server.  There is nothing you can do since NextPVR is working as expected

On the Settings->Devices page, you've setup channels on the specific tuners that NextPVR can use. It assumes they're available for it to use. It's much clearer why it does this when you consider systems with less tuners. For example, if you had a single dual tuner setup, the scheduler would let you schedule two recordings at the same time. Behind the scenes the application is building up a plan of what recordings will go on what tuner etc. ie, it has to be able to assume those tuners will be available when it needs them. When you've got a setup with much more tuners like you have, it's still follows the same logic.

That said, with that many tuners, why don't you just setup some on one NextPVR machine, and the rest on the other NextPVR machine? This way they're not trying to use the same tuners.

Alternatively, just setup one machine with NextPVR, and it has all the tuners setup and available, and just use network clients to access NextPVR from any machine on your network.
