How to change user and location of config data?

I tried using a systemctl override to change the user but that didn't work. It still runs as user nextpvr. I don't see a way to change the location of the config files.

Is this possible?

It is hard to support twitter-like support questions. I assume you are no longer talking Docker and that you used the deb installer.

If so, you can change it via /usr/lib/systemd/system/nextpvr-server.service but I don't support modifications to the defaults to make my life easier. If you change it updates using the deb file will overwrite any change. You will also need to make sure are your recording folders have the correct permissions for another user.
