Ok. Yes, you know how most dvrs you can record while you watch and it will keep all of the data. Is there a way to make the rewind data be bigger so I can rewind 30min or 1 hr prior to current spot without recording?

Using Yauiclient I was attempting to connect to a reverse proxy address like https://my.server.com but I was not able to get it to work.

The address works with the web client and Kodi but could not get it to connect with yauiclient.

My config file looks like this
Code:
{
    "client": "0560cd40-d06a-ef76-4565-f6a1cf1a279b",
    "deinterlace": true,
    "display": 1,
    "fullscreen": true,
    "host": "https://my.server.com",
    "macaddress": "7085C2AA9F99",
    "pin": "0123",
    "port": 443,
    "rendering": "",
    "resolution": "1920x1080",
    "screenshot": "C:\\Users\\me\\AppData\\Local\\Temp",
    "sid": "",
    "temp": "C:\\Users\\me\\AppData\\Local\\Temp"
}

Is this possible?

Sorry there is no https support, I will add that for the next update.

Note entering host is not the same as entering a URL you want just and IP or hostname in that field.

Is this client only for Windows? I have a rpi3 on a small bedroom TV running an old kodi 17.3 that doesn't let me skip. Looking for a client that can still run reasonably well on a rpi3 and allow skipping. The newer kodi 21 would probably be way too sluggish on a rpi3, perhaps a newer but still old kodi?

I did write a RPi version but I dropped it do to lack of interest (zero) https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=65346 I didn't bother with the RPi3 because I didn't want to support OMX.

You should be able to run LE 12 (Omega) on an RPi3.

I used libreelec (and openelec before that) for years, starting with Frodo, for the primary purpose of using the mythtv addon to watch TV recordings. Other than the occasional crash, it worked very well. The last version I used - also on a Pi3 - was either Leia or Matrix. Unlike, say, microsoft word, I do not recall major updates slowing it down materially. They are designed to be lean operating systems for the sole purpose of running Kodi.

An easy and harmless test is to install it on a spare card, to put it through its paces.

Truly impressive. I'm challenged just maintaining my installation.

Great tip. I keep forgetting that with a pi, swapping the card gives you a whole new environment.

Thanks guys, the knowledge on these forums is top notch!

Edit:
I installed the current raspberry pi OS (bookworm) which comes with kodi Nexus and it runs OK on the pi 3. The GUI is a tad sluggish on the ancient hardware but I didn't need to buy anything.
