My logs are below. My recordings work 80% of the time and I don't quite understand why. It starts to record for .02 seconds then stops, telling me it's likely the end of VOD?

I'm not sure why, there's nothing wrong with my stream at all. I've tried different ABC channels from different locations, uninstalled/reinstalled NextPVR (after deleting all traces), and rescheduled recordings, etc.

Version: 6.1.3.230521

What's weird is if I search for all ffmpeg.exe on my PC, the following shows up (some from other apps)....the size is what's weird to me

C:\Program Files\Jellyfin\Server\ffmpeg.exe                                                      346KB
C:\Program Files\MCEBuddy2x\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe                                         65630KB
C:\Program Files\NextPVR\Other\ffmpeg.exe                                                     340KB
C:\Program Files\Softdeluxe\Free Download Manager\ffmpeg.exe                     22984KB

Is this correct? This exe varies that much? What if I try one of the other versions in my "other" folder?

Is this a show you're trying to downloading from the VOD menu of the web app? or a is it showing up in your guide as a channel, and you're trying to schedule a recording?

Recording is only intended to work from live streams. Static content, like individual episode files, or movies, are only intended to be download from the VOD menu. Downloaded VOD content shows up as a recording.

Yes, that ffmpeg.exe size is normal. It's the dynamic version, so most of it's functionality is in dll files, so it's normal to have a smaller exe.

We'd need to see the zipped logs when this occurs.

I am using IPTVBoss to tweak my EPG's so my next step was to just import the raw m3u and epg from the provider and see if my custom channels/lineups are the issue somehow. I don't think it's that at all but that's where I'm heading next.

Sub probably needs to look at the logs to see why the recording is being transcoded it makes all the seeking you are doing a lot better.

As for E:\PLEX\GH_R\General Hospital\Season 60\General.Hospital.S60E196.ts does it exist?

I'd recommend trying this.

Yes, it's 0KB

The xml is there, no mention of VOD.

I found that too

2023-06-23 13:58:03.712 [DEBUG][11] WebException: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Nothing to do with VOD making everything via NextPVR should help
