Hi,
This thing has been driving me insane. I'm trying to find a resolution to set the resize to in ffdshow when transcoding AVI's for the MVP.
This is a pal system, and I've tried all the resolutions I could find. I'm trying to do half resolution. These are the results I've got so far from the various things I've tried
384x288 - Fullscreen on TV, Side edges cut off (text runs off the screen)
384x276 - Black bar along bottom, Side edges less cut off than above
360x288 - Fullscreen on TV, Side edges cut off (but not quite as much as 384)
360x276 - Black bar along bottom, sides as above
352x288 - Fullscreen on TV, Side edges cut off as with 384x288
352x276 - Black bar along bottom and side edges cut off as above
I also tried doubling these up to the same results - I am not sure about whether things are getting cut off at the top and bottom as the result is harder to notice
These are based on all references to PAl resolutions I could find on the web. The TV is a normal 4:3 (non-wide) TV.
I'd apreciate any help at all.
Thanks
