Kodi add-on not working (linux)

I was a happy user of a pretty old Kodi on OSMC (Vero 4k+)
NextPVR running on Debian with an HD Homerun
All LAN wired with gigabit

Kodi 18.9 OSMC Linux with add-on 3.3.21 > Smooth NextPVR with timeshift
Kodi 19.4 Windows with add-on 19.0.6 > Smooth NextPVR with timeshift

Now on another Vero 4K+ I upgraded to Kodi 20.1
Using add-on 20.4.1 things are quite bad
TV is going in slow motion and audio is off sync
Opening a stream takes 10 seconds (was 2)
Switching between real-time and timeshift doesn't help

It's missing dependencie inputstream.ffmpegdirect
And I do not know how to correct that 

Is there a ZIP available for Linux with add-on 19 ?

Since API changes are different in version you can't mix an match them. inputstream.ffmpegdirect is optional so that shouldn't be an issue (but direct that to OSMC)

Without logs there are no problems, but the scenario you describe are probably not related to the addon.

Both Vero 4K+ boxes with kodi 20.1 act the same
My third box with the older kodi is fine

I upgraded nextPVR from 2.1.x to 2.2.x but no improvement

Well I'm getting closer. my Kodi is set to change the refresh rate at the start.
When I play a 23.98hz movie it switches to 23.98hz.

NextPVR works well at 50 or 60hz but strongly doesn't like this 23.98
It should switch the refresh rate to 50hz and it sometimes does, but often not

There is a setting in Kodi to force the fps to 50 and another to turn of resolution changing. NextPVR doesn't force the fps, that is the source, unless you are using the optional transcoding option for recordings so it is probablby not a NextPVR problem.

Yes it's set to 60 now and NextPVR looks fine
Also surprising movies at 23.98 seem to play fine on 60Hz
I'm quite sensitive to little glitches but didn't notice anything

23.976 is designed to work with 60hz. When you said you wanted 50Hz, I assumed you were in the dvb world with 25/50 Mhz systems.

I really doubt they're transmitting television at 23.98, so likely a case of Kodi misidentifying the frame rate, and changing to an incorrect refresh rate. It's likely reading some of the cues from the movie data, that were never intended to be used by a television.

In North America (and a couple of other countries) they almost always use 59.94/29.97 fps for TV broadcasts. The rest of the world uses 50/25 fps.

Since he wrote movies I expected he meant DVD mpeg2 rips, not movies from broadcast.
