Hi Sub

Normally yes, but I have setup Kodi profile to transcode not timeshift, not real time

You should only be enabling that when not a home though.  I can't see how you can avoid occasional transcoding problem with with OTA signals and 10Mbs upload.

Maybe update the NextPVR ffmpeg to v6 or v7 and see if that helps.  It will be updated to 6.1.1 for the next version.

Thanks Martin, there are other things you should know, and possibly you can help me with the original issue, so let me explain what the pain is here.
I am currently using even within the LAN a VPN that unfortunately does not support split tunneling, only app exceptions and Kodi is not one of them. I have seen and tried to create two different settings profiles, one with the outside domain name which works via VPN (via SSL) and one that can directly target the nextpvr PC at port 8866 with http.
Problem is, I don't understand how these work as Kodi seems to be hanging. I would assume that it tries both profiles until it gets one that works? But with what connection timeout? And in what order?
How can I instruct it to use a quick timeout and move to the next one to try if the first one fail?
I know I can disable one of them whenever I want but I really don't want each time to go in settings, enable the right one, go out of kodi again and re-launch every time I stop/start the VPN.

Thanks and regards

If you create two instances in Kodi it tries and connect in parallel so there should be no waiting, just one instance connects and one that will continue to poll for a connection. The first minute should be quick connect attempts but there is another setting that controls how often to poll after the first minute attempts.

Your problem can then really only be solved by restarting Kodi but you shouldn't need to go into settings. You can also wait the timeout period but I don't remember if the channel, and recording lists for a failed system remain after it fails and starts polling.
