So, I did this,

<extras>
<channel name="NewTest">
    <command>ffmpeg</command>
    <args>-v panic -re -i "http://192.168.68.56:5589/stream?url=https://www.cbs.com/live-tv/stream/tveverywhere/?ch=CBSIN" -c:v copy -c:a aac -f mpegts -</args>
</channel>
</extras>

Is there a better way to do it without having to convert? will another codec be less stressful? I got a little hiccup (granted I had stuff open)

It seems we came up with it at the same time

Do you think a little buffer could help too with all the pressure on cpu/gpu and converting audio

Testing this

<extras>
<channel name="2Test">
    <command>ffmpeg</command>
    <args>-v panic -re -i "http://192.168.68.56:5589/stream?url=https://www.cbs.com/live-tv/stream/tveverywhere/?ch=CBSIN" -c:v copy -c:a aac -f mpegts -buffer_size 625k -rtbufsize 625k -</args>
</channel>
</extras>

Update.. its just really slow. hiccups are pretty noticable.. wont play fullspeed like it does with copy on kodi/yaui. or my other pc that plays the channel great and crashes after you finish the channel.  Its really unfortunate that the cheesy iptv spyware works so easily on it , it has no issue.  Perhaps if I did something like mp3 instead of aac..

With that said I am very greatful we have it working decent in kodi and maybe one day we can fix it to work 100%

mp3 might be lighter than ac3 but these days transcoding audio isn't too hard on the CPU You'd be better trying aac at the source with the link I have you could see if that helps and eliminates transcoding. Not sure why more buffer would help but feel to try now that you get what an extra can do.

Perhaps you didn't enable timeshift in settings. I think I will drop out know so you can think things through yourself.
