Migrating from Windows to Docker?

I am currently running a tiny N100 Mini PC which hosts NPVR, Plex, Jellyfin (I know - they are much the same - I have reasons, but won't bore you with them Smile )

It also runs docker with a few images, including Cloudflare tunnel which I use for remote access to NPVR - config, not streaming.

I wondered about migrating to Linux as I can then use host networking for HomeAssistant which is pretty much required in order to use discovery.

2 questions:

Currently all my NPVR recordings are saved to my NAS, I just run the NPVR service as a user in Windows who can access the NAS and it works fine with the UNC path. Is there a similarly easy method in Docker? I saw lots of doom and gloom over UNC paths on these forums, but a lot of that was historic.

How easy is it to migrate the config? I'm aware I could just add my recordings again, but that's extra effort and I'm already wondering if I can be bothered Smile I'm on my third or fourth Windows NPVR install and migrating in Win is easy as it gets Smile

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to this. You'd don't specify paths like \\server\share though. Instead, you'd just have your NextPVR docker server set to record to a path like /recordings, and you'd configure the container to have this mapped to a NAS share. (ie, that type of configuration happens outside of NextPVR)

Thanks!

I think I will play with NPVR in Docker for Windows before I take the leap and jump to Linux Smile
