Hi, hope someone can advise me. I have the Hauppauge 3875199 wintv quad HD Pcie tuner, installed with Windows 11, with the latest drivers. This tuner is a DVB-T2 tuner, yet Nextpvr detects it as only DVB-T, why is that?

I'm trying to get ITV4 HD, but I can only get it in SD, Google AI suggests I need a DVB-T2 tuner? I can get other HD channels. So what can I do, to rectify this? I've attached the log files, hoping they'll help.

Many thanks,

G

I would ask AI what DVB-T frequency you should scan to find ITV 4 HD.

Touche. It originally stated it's available on freeview, or just OTA for Nextpvr but may need DVB-T2, henceforth my question. Now its saying:
ITV4 HD is not broadcast over-the-air via DVB-T or DVB-T2 (Freeview aerial). No digital terrestrial frequency or multiplex will find it because it does not exist on standard TV transmitters. Only the standard definition (SD) version of ITV4 is broadcast on Freeview (Channel 26).

So, I'll assume that answers why it's not showing in my scan. However in devices in nextpvr, should the tuner not state DVB-T2? I've no clue!

Thanks martin.

Just to be clear, on the Settings->Devices page, NextPVR just displays "DVB-T" meaning "DVB-T/T2".

If the device is capable of DVB-T2, and you're scanning the correct frequency, you should get DVB-T2 channels

From NextPVR's perspective, it all looks like DVB-T. The tuner itself takes care of the minor differences for DVB-T2.
