I've built a PVR, but with 3 kids, I just don't have the time to tweak and play with it like I thought I would. I've got most of the kinks works out, but it needs more tweaking. But I've got to let it go. If you've got free time, and like adjusting your PVR to find just the right skin tone color, this may be for you! I don't have the time to get the picture just right.
INCLUDES:
ABIT NF7-S v.2 Motherboard (rock solid - and lots of features like "wake from hibernate", etc.)
Passive (no fan) Northbridge heatsink installed by me.
AMD XP 3000+ processor (with stock heatsink/fan)
512 RAM
Hauppauge PVR-250 (980 model with remote) - highly recommended by PVR folks
eVGA FX5200 board for S-video out (5200 cards are very good for PVRs)
Windows XP Home Edition
Seagate 200 Gig Hard Drive (highly recommended by PVR folks)
Another 12 Gig Hard Drive - system drive
30 foot extension cable for the Hauppauge Remote "eye"
30 foot S-Video & RCA audio cable
** You can run these cables to a PC in your basement for quiet viewing
Case/mouse/keyboard
All current drivers are installed - and the quartz driver is even properly rolled-back.
Also, I'll leave GB-PVR installed as well as software that allows you to hibernate your machine at night if you like.
This machine will work great in a home-network too.
I researched each part exensively before I bought it. All are parts recommended by the PVR community.
I'll sell this for around $600 - although I'll sell it without the Seagate Hard drive for $100 less ($500 total). plus shipping and insurance.
