weather info during playback

Not sure if this is possible but it would be nice to be able to display weather info during the playback of a file (similar to the mini-guide currently viewable during playback). Maybe just the temp, humidity and wind.

Along the same lines, I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a pluggin that displays something on the screen duing playback when, for example, a severe thunderstorm watch, tornado watch, etc is issued for the viewers area (by zip-code perhaps). I'm not sure where the info could be pulled from (NOAA ?) or what would be involved in getting the alerts to show during playback but I throw it out there as a possibility. Obviously this would be geared to those of us living in houses without windows

Sounds interesting - and if it is possible - to have a generic alert and info so that you can choose what kind of alerts and info to show - I think somekind like this is discussed under topic Uberpanel in Developers thread.

I guess they are on the way of creating the generic infopanel - but I am not sure whether it is possible to show while watching recordings , live TV etc - bu i hope so!
