I'm sure Im not the only one who has a TV set in the bedroom. I was wondering if someone has considered an 'alarm clock' type plugin. I was kind of hoping to start the day by having songs from my classic collection played to me softly (and increasing in volume until I awaken).

It seems an easy to make and obvious application/plugin for GBPVR, did I miss something? Is it maybe implemented in another plugin and I missed that?

I guess the main reason why nobody has done it is in your bedroom the sound is probably sent in to your tv. And for that to work your tv would have to be on all night.

My TV has an alarm clock built in. I can set it to come on at any time, any station...
If gbpvr had focus, it would/could be made to work, no?

I'm sure Im not the only one who has a TV set in the bathroom. I was wondering if someone has considered an 'flush' type plugin.

It seems an easy to make and obvious application/plugin for GBPVR Big Grin

I realize that in order for it to work correctly I would need to leave it on all the time. Which would be no problem. Actually there would be no way I would turn it off. The wife wouldn't let me.

I have to hit video on my tv to switch the focus over. If you can get past that it should work.

Grin... Ik like the bathroom idea. ;-)

My TV switches off if it does not receive an external signal & on if it does. So if my MediaMVP starts sending an image, and the GBVPR screenblanker just sends a black screen when inactive, this should work beautifully.

If not, I'll find a way to only connect it to audio.

I was hoping the alarmclock Idea was already part of the jukebox or my music plugins, but I'd just missed it.. guess not ;-)

Instead of a full plugin with GUI how about a command that simply plays a pre-saved playlist in a particular music player (My Music or Music Library 2 seem to be the best) at a set time? perhaps with a way of setting weeks at a time with a different time each morning (5 days at 8:00am, 2 days at 10:00am then 5 days at 7:00am etc...).

If a GUI was used there could be the option to set the time obviously, create a fade effect over a set time, and specify the playlist for the next morning?

Are any of these things feasable or realistic?

just wondered if there had been any development on a plugin like this?

Would be brilliant to have some music come in quietly and get louder...
