I am in fact on comcast, i saw a megapack 60 on the wiki of channel logos that you uploaded. I did download those and drop them in the channel images folder. it didn't make a difference but i'm not sure if i need to rename those to the exact name and channel number as my egp sees. My lineup is a bit different than yours.

Would you happen to know if the name is important for this circumstance?

and right you are, once i did that the VAPanel is back to working.

One question i do have, is there a default channel icon that gets used in case one isn't available? i have a lot of channels to rename and add logo's for.

There is no default logo. I looked at the code and what it should do in this case is just post the text message without any image. I haven't had a chance to test yet to see what it actually does.

I think i've already tested this for you. The VAPanel doesn't display any of the next recording if there is a missing graphic, either a channel logo for the intended channel to be recorded or a folder named the same as the show with a folder.jpg file in it.

I have some reoccuring recordings that have a permanent folder and folder.jpg that i just left alone and those were the only recording that would show on the panel. The strange thing is that if i had a scheduled recording before any of those, nothing would show. I'm guessing the panel stops looking and moves on if it doesn't find either a channel or show graphic.

I have it all working just fine again. I hope this helps you in your testing. as always i'm happy to test anything you need.

There could be. The newest release also only caches a limited number of directories. if you have more than 25 (the new default) things will be sluggish when you enter a directory that has to be read on the fly, although the MVP shouldn't time out. You can set the number of dircectory to cache to zero (which while not intuitive means cache them all) using the config app. Look on the Memory tab. Let me know if that helps.

Jeff....setting this to zero seems to have corrected the problem....I'll let you know if anything crops up.

I finally did figure that out and spent the morning either renaming files or trying to find and capturing others to add.

So far i have all the usual ones that i would record from so I'm in good shape.

Just for everyones education, so they are careful to avoid the trap. This GBPvr program and many of it's Plug-ins are a most insidious time grabber. You have to be very careful with this thing, it's almost like a drug. It goes from being a novelty, to being mildly useful to being absolutely essential and having you wondering how you managed to get along with tape, or tivo, or any of the other schemes we've all tried. The very weird part about it is the whole thing is designed to watch and record a medium and has almost nothing of interest to anyone over 16.
