I've noticed when i record stuff it tends to be interlaced..I know this would be fine on my tv...Media Player Classic doesnt show interlace but VLC does and WMP..... Can i record without interlace...Is there an mpeg editor(free) that will de interlace it

I use the Dscaler filter to deinterlace the video. I'm pretty happy with it.

I don't think there is any way to change that and I don't think you want to. When you play it back however, different decoders/filters do a better job of deinterlacing. Try out DScaler5 (not the other one, it isn't a DirectX filter) and see what you think. In my opinion it's the best and does a great job with NTSC 3:2 pulldown. Jason
