Any chance of getting access to the screen saver?? So maybe we could add information like the music panel plugin to the screen saver?

Any plugin can used as the screensaver using the following settings in config.xml. There is nothing to stop you or any of the other guys from writing a plugin which gives this sort of behaviour. Just set the <ScreenSaverPlugin> to the name of the plugin

<ScreenSaverPlugin>TV Guide</ScreenSaverPlugin>
<ScreenSaverKickinSeconds>180</ScreenSaverKickinSeconds>

I've already modified the VA panel to act as a sceeen saver. There is a check box on the VA Panel config screen that you set to enable it. When it is the sceeen saver it will show the current date and time and cycle between showing a number of options things that yoiu can select: the weather, upcoming recordings, now playing music track, stock quotes, and low disk space warnings.

Oh ok I don't think I have VA panel installed. Might have to go have a look....save me re-writing the wheel.

Where do you get the VA plugin?

It is distributed as part of the video archive plugin on the wiki. I plan to post an update later today or tomorrow .
