I would love to see a web browser, I see there is progress on one over at media portal based on the meedio one.
If I could do it I would but it is beyond me, so far I just launch into ie out of gbpvr but the address buttons and fonts are too small to read on the tv.

Since this is the wishlist section there is only hope and dreams. Big Grin

Have you tried using Firefox or Opera instead? They are both much better at resizing pages (Opera even resizes images) than IE.

two things you can try. The web viewer plugin not really browsing or xview in the plugin area.

Thanks for the replies! Jorm, I should clarify that I dont use a MVP (just a stand alone HTPC) so I dont think xview will work for me. Web viewer would work but an important part of the whole HTPC for me is to have full browser access to the web in my living room on the tv (why have all that information available and not be able to access it fully?)
Andju I will try firefox and opera and see if its any better. The main issue I have is I cannot read the address bar etc. due to small font. A custom dumbed down brower with large fonts would be a great additon to GBPVR IMHO.
Right now I have a custom button that allows access through IE but it shuts down GBPVR when IE opens and restarts GBPVR when IE is closed. So if I was listening to music it would be gone when GBPVR is closed.

Just a wish

In opera, you fix this easily. First, if you hit "+" the page is zoomed in really nicely. The address bar and other dialogs are fixed by going to "tools"->"preferences"->"advanced"->"fonts"->"interface dialogs". Under fonts you can also change "minimum font size" (which, confusingly enough, changes all fonts except the one in dialogs...) You can alse set the font size for "interface menus" and "interface toolbars" for better visibility. In short, you can set it to look almost any way you like :-)

Stefan thanks for the input/tutorial for Opera, I have tried it and it works out nicely.Big Grin
I guess my main reason/wish for a built-in browser stems from the fact that I feel a brower is a important part of my HTPC experience it would be nice to intergrate it into GBPVR so I could listen to music and browse. As it stands now opening the browser shuts down GBPVR and therefore any music that might of been playing.

Thanks again for all the input!
