Not to mention that with a hub (as opposed to a switch) that 10 Mbit is shared with all attached devices. Start doing anything bandwidth intensive, and the hub can become a big bottle neck. So you may not even have 10 Mbit of actual bandwidth available point to point, regardless of what the link speed is reported as on either end.

not to mention 10Mb theoretical throughput usually only delivers 5-6Mb practical. 100Mb wired or 802.11a/g wireless is really the minimum for streaming video.
