Watch Streaming Video

I'm thinking of a plugin or a capability like net radio that allows you to hear radio streamed, but watch videos that are streamed--like you can link up to VH1 or MTV and watch videos or on AOL and Launch.

In the meantime, anyone know how to save streams or capture on a computer?

This is similar to what I've sugested, I'd like there to be a UPnP/AV Rendering Plugin. So I can access all the content on a TVersity Server. It would pretty much cover everything.
